Similac Total Comfort Gold Stage 1 is a nutritionally complete cow’s milk-based infant formula specially developed for babies from birth to six months who may have difficulty tolerating standard milk-based formulas.
The gentle formula contains partially hydrolysed whey protein, which is broken down into smaller components to support easier digestion. It is formulated for delicate tummies and may be recommended by a healthcare professional for babies experiencing mild feeding intolerance associated with lactose sensitivity.
Similac Total Comfort Gold Stage 1 contains 2′-FL, nucleotides and prebiotics to support the baby’s developing immune and digestive systems. It also provides DHA and lutein, important nutrients that contribute to normal brain and visual development.
The formula contains a vegetable-fat blend without palm olein oil and provides the essential vitamins, minerals, protein, fat and carbohydrates required to support normal growth and development during the first six months of life.

This product is not suitable for infants with galactosaemia.
How to Prepare
Always follow the preparation and feeding instructions printed on the supplied tin, as instructions may vary between markets.
- Wash your hands and thoroughly clean the preparation surface.
- Wash the feeding bottle, teat, cap and all preparation utensils.
- Sterilise the feeding equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Where boiling is used, boil the equipment for five minutes and place it on a clean surface.
- In a separate pan, bring fresh drinking water to a rolling boil for five minutes, then allow it to cool to a safe feeding temperature.
- Pour the required amount of warm, previously boiled water into the sterilised feeding bottle.
- Using only the scoop supplied inside the tin, fill it with powder and level it without packing or compressing the powder.
- Add one level scoop of powder for every 60ml of water, unless the instructions printed on the supplied tin state otherwise.
- Close the bottle and shake thoroughly until the powder has completely dissolved.
- Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
- Feed immediately after preparation whenever possible.
Never add extra powder, water, cereal, sugar or other ingredients unless specifically instructed by the baby’s healthcare professional. Incorrect preparation may make the baby unwell.
Feeding and Storage Instructions
Prepare each feed immediately before it is required whenever possible.
Once feeding begins, use the formula within one hour and discard any amount remaining in the bottle. Never refrigerate or reuse formula that has been in contact with the baby’s mouth.
Freshly prepared bottles that have not been used may be stored immediately in a refrigerator at 2–4°C and used within 24 hours. Do not leave prepared formula at room temperature before refrigerating it.
Do not heat formula in a microwave, as uneven heating may create hot spots and cause serious burns.
Store the unopened or opened tin at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Keep the tin tightly closed after opening and use the contents within the period stated on the packaging. Do not refrigerate the powder.
Important Information
Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Premature infants, babies under two months of age and infants with weakened immune systems may require additional preparation precautions. Follow the paediatrician’s advice carefully.
Consult the baby’s doctor before changing formula, particularly if the baby has persistent crying, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, rash, blood in the stool, poor feeding or inadequate weight gain.
Seek urgent medical care if the baby develops facial or lip swelling, breathing difficulty, severe vomiting, unusual drowsiness or another sign of a serious allergic reaction.
Do not use the formula if the packaging or internal seal is open, damaged or missing.
Use the product before the expiry date printed on the packaging and keep it out of the reach of children.
